Up With Kids
The Up With Kids program supports our local community by helping families in need with back to school items. More than 100 children participated in our recent event.
Our agents and office donate both their time and money, and work with the schools and local service organizations to ensure that our most-in-need children, ages 5-12, start the school year off right. Children selected to participate get backpacks full of school spupplies and other goodies. They also get $100 worth of back-to-school clothing at Target, our host store for the shopping spree since the program started.

Our aim is to help these children and give them a memorable time. We bring the RE/MAX hot air balloon in that morning for a little fun, along with a fire truck, and this year an ambulance. Each child will be able to take a free ride up in the balloon, which is tethered, and talk with members of our community first responder teams. Target supplies breakfast for participants, and donates new socks. Each of our agents then escorts a child on a back to school shopping trip for new clothes.
Community volunteers also help make the event run smoothly, offering spanish translation services, shopping assistance, and help with our breakfast and balloon activities.
Up With Kids is also offering a scholarship program this year, to help older students. Seven scholarships were granted.
