San Luis Obispo
Simply called "SLO" or "San Luis" by locals, the city is the cultural and commercial hub of California’s scenic Central Coast. It's anchored by one of California's historic missions, Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, one of the best-preserved examples of 18th century Spanish architecture. SLO has long been recognized as one of the best stops of the “one-tank trips” between Los Angeles (200 miles south) and San Francisco (230 miles north).

San Simeon
For many people around the world, San Simeon means the site of the famous castle on the hill, but this coastal town offers much more to anyone willing to spend sometime uncovering its treasures. The main center of San Simeon sits about three miles south of the castle’s entrance. Though understandably much of the town’s focus is on providing a plethora of services for the thousands of people who visit the castle each year, there are also plenty of other things to discover in San Simeon as well.
