Pioneer Day

Pioneer Day first began in 1931. It was created as a day of community friendship and a commemoration of the heritage of the Paso Robles area. It would also become a day to say, “Thank You” to all of the people who support local businesses and the professional community. There were to be no charges for any of the events, no commercial concessions, and lunch was provided to all.

In it’s early years, most businesses closed so that their employees could enjoy and participate in the activities and family reunions. Pioneer Day has grown to include the Pioneer Day Parade, friendly competitions, music, food, and more. You’ll see working old-time equipment like tractors, horse drawn wagons, cars, and trucks, equestrian groups, animal exhibits, arts and crafts.

To this day there is no cost for Pioneer Day events. It’s a day Paso Robles celebrates her heritage…  all funded by the generosity of local businesses.

RE/MAX Parkside Real Estate is proud to be a part of Pioneer Day. We hope you enjoy the festivities and friendships as much as we  do!
